Game 20 of the Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season delivered intensity, milestones, and standout individual performances as both Rhythm and Glow continued shaping the leaderboard race.
Rhythm Finding Its Groove
Despite sitting at 2-8 on the season — including an 0-4 mark against Glow in the season series. Rhythm showed resilience and star power once again.
Center Tina Charles made her debut as a captain on Wednesday, adding yet another accomplishment to her decorated career. Team captains are now 14-17 in their debut contests this season, but Charles individually continued her dominant stretch of play. She recorded her third double-double of the season and second in the last three games after posting 20 points and 15 rebounds in the Week Four opener.
Charles has now eclipsed the 20-point mark three times this season and remains one of the league’s most consistent interior presences. She also became just the sixth player in league history to pull down 15 or more rebounds in a single game. Adding to the resume, Charles secured her sixth Game MVP award of the season, ranking second among the 41-player field.
Guard Kia Nurse added to the Rhythm attack with her eighth double-digit scoring effort of the season. Nurse has now scored at least 10 points in 18 of her 21 career AU Pro Basketball appearances, further proving her reliability on the perimeter.
While the team result may not yet reflect it, Rhythm continues to build around veteran leadership and steady production as they prepare to face Gold Rush in their next matchup.
Glow’s Balanced Attack Shines
Glow once again demonstrated why they’ve been one of the most dynamic squads this season.
The team successfully initiated a captain’s challenge in the third quarter on a defensive foul call against Isabelle Harrison, maintaining momentum in a tightly contested stretch. Though Glow was limited to just 10 points in the first quarter, their lowest-scoring period of the season, the group responded with balance and depth.
Six players scored in double figures against Rhythm, marking the fourth time this season a team has placed six scorers in double digits in a single game.
Forward Isabelle Harrison and guard Dorie Harrison shared the floor for the 10th time in their AU Pro Basketball careers, improving to 6-4 as teammates. Meanwhile, Natasha Mack continued rewriting the record books. Mack became the league’s all-time single-season blocks leader with 30 rejections after recording four blocks against Rhythm. She surpassed the previous mark of 28 set in 2024 and has now recorded three or more blocks in six of 10 games this season.
Mack also posted her seventh double-digit scoring effort in 10 games, highlighting her two-way dominance.
Guard Rebekah Gardner contributed her seventh consecutive double-digit scoring performance, tallying 11 points. She has now scored in double figures in nine of 10 games this season. Gardner also tied for the most assists in a game this year with eight — matching Odyssey Sims’ earlier mark.
Glow’s defensive intensity and balanced scoring continue to separate them in tight contests, and their ability to respond after slow starts speaks volumes about their cohesion.
As the season moves deeper into the second half, Game 20 proved once again that every possession and every leaderboard point matters.
